1. Who We Are

RateMyFit (“we”, “our”, “us”) is an AI-powered outfit rating service available at ratemyfit.net. We are operated by an individual based in India.

2. Information We Collect

When you use RateMyFit, we collect the following information:

Account Information: Your name, email address, and a hashed version of your password when you create an account. We never store your password in plain text.

Outfit Photos: Images you upload for analysis. These are stored securely on Amazon Web Services (AWS) S3 servers.

Usage Data: Number of analyses performed per day, analysis results, and timestamps. This helps us manage rate limits and provide your history.

3. How We Use Your Information

We use your information to provide the outfit rating service, including sending your uploaded photos to Google Gemini AI for analysis. Your images are processed by Google's AI service to generate style feedback and scores. We do not use your photos for training AI models or for any purpose other than providing you with outfit analysis.

4. Data Storage & Security

Your photos are stored in AWS S3 (Mumbai region). Your account data is stored in a PostgreSQL database on our secured server. All data is transmitted over HTTPS (encrypted in transit). We use presigned URLs for image access, meaning your photos are not publicly accessible.

5. Third-Party Services

We use the following third-party services:

Google Gemini AI — to analyze your outfit photos and generate feedback.

Amazon Web Services (S3) — to securely store your uploaded images.

Each of these services has its own privacy policy governing how they handle data.

6. Data Sharing

We do not sell, rent, or share your personal information with third parties for marketing purposes. Your data is only shared with the third-party services listed above, solely to provide the outfit rating functionality.

7. Your Rights

In accordance with India's Digital Personal Data Protection Act (DPDPA), 2023, you have the right to:

Access — Request a copy of your personal data.

Correction — Request corrections to inaccurate data.

Deletion — Request deletion of your account and all associated data, including uploaded photos.

To exercise any of these rights, use the “Delete Account” option in your account settings, or reach out to us through the app.

8. Data Retention

We retain your data for as long as your account is active. If you delete your account, all your personal data, including uploaded photos and analysis history, will be permanently removed within 30 days.

9. Children's Privacy

RateMyFit is not intended for users under the age of 13. We do not knowingly collect personal data from children under 13.

10. Changes to This Policy

We may update this privacy policy from time to time. The updated version will be indicated by the “Last updated” date at the top of this page.
